Why We Are Here
During Allie's two-year battle, she BELIEVED that she was going to beat it, be healthy and cancer free. Allie also did not let cancer dictate how she was going to live her life. Allie lived her life to the fullest. The way she lived her life inspired those around her and will continue to inspire others in the future. During her battle, Allie had the opportunity to go on several vacations which allowed her to get away from the everyday life of a cancer patient (chemo treatments, doctor visits, blood tests and constant reminders of cancer), reconfirm in BELIEVING in herself and BELIEVE she would be cancer free. The vacations re-energized Allie for the fight and allowed her to make unforgettable memories with her family and friends.
One thing you need to know about Allie is that she would do anything for anybody at the drop of a hat. Allie had such a big heart and loved helping others out and didn’t expect anything in return. That is a rare characteristic in this day and age. With the Allie Greene Foundation, Allie will still be able to help people and make a difference in others’ lives on a larger scale.
There are so many people with cancer that don't have the means or opportunity to go on a dream vacation. The foundation would provide the patient and their family a chance to re-energize themselves and recommit in BELIEVING that they will beat cancer. It will give that cancer patient the strength to BELIEVE in themselves. They will look at how Allie lived her life to the fullest and it will inspire them! It will also create unforgettable memories that they can look back on and be thankful that they had the opportunity.
The Allie Greene Foundation is in the paperwork process of obtaining a tax ID number. We are hoping by the end of 2012, the foundation is up and running. Once the Allie Greene Foundation is active, we will be able to help so many cancer patients and their families. All in Allie’s honor!
